What would have been the most anticipated comeback on stage in history ended sadly in June.

The sudden death of Michael Jackson have made him to the top searches in 2009.

"When the news of Michael Jackson's death came out the traffic was overwhelming, and surpassed that. And then his case was ruled a homicide so it's an ongoing crime investigation. His death is unresolved," said Vera Chan, web trend analyst at Yahoo Inc.

At the hour of Michael Jackson death, the world wide web almost came to an halt. On June 26 CNN started an article by asking: "How many people does it take to break the Internet? On June 25, we found out it's just one -- if that one is Michael Jackson."

"Between approximately 2:40 p.m. PDT and 3:15 p.m. PDT on June 25, some Google News users experienced difficulty accessing search results for queries related to Michael Jackson," a Google spokesman told CNET, which also reported that Google News users complained that the service was inaccessible for a time.

At its peak, Google Trends rated the Jackson story as "volcanic." No

Yeah I heard this! But I would have expected nothing less because he is the KING OF POP!!! He was loved worldwide, so when I heard this it didn't surprise me one bit. I'm kinda glad I didn't run to the internet right away. I actually ran to the TV.

Yeah. Obama is nothing next to the king. king xD

Plus, everyone knew Obama was elected. That's pretty much all the information you need. A person dying is different. People want to know details like what they died from. Plus online, you can see what's happening at that moment.
